Welcome, I'm Valentina
The farmhouse A Carubba du Bungiurnu is the house built by Francesco, my grandfather. The idea of hosting you comes from the love with which I look at the sea every morning and which I want to share with you. To welcome you you will find me and my partner Marco. We are farmers of a beautiful vegetable garden above Verezzi, and olive growers, together with my father and my brothers. A few years ago we planted about thirty apricot trees of a native variety, the Valleggia. You will taste our products during breakfast, our summer “farmer’s lunches” or the various events we organize!
The house, the hospitality, the nature
A Carubba du Bungiurnu is located in the historic center of Borgio, 2 steps from the caves and 10 minutes walk from the beaches. The villa is surrounded by a beautiful garden and the terraces have a sea view. Here we have 3 bedrooms and 1 apartment, recently renovated in a modern and functional style. Together with my mother we have revived antique furniture collected by my grandfather, which furnishes every room in a playful and cheerful way with bright and different colours. A second apartment is available a short distance away.
The rooms with kitchen use
All the rooms are located on one floor that boasts a large living area, a fully equipped kitchen that you can use to heat and store your food, a cozy sitting room and a very large balcony overlooking the gulf. “Azzurra” is a 20 m2 deluxe room with direct access to the terrace overlooking the sea, velux placed above the bed to fall asleep looking at the stars, private bathroom with bathtub. “Sabbia” is a double room with shared bathroom, my favourite! “Sassolino” is a double / triple room with shared bathroom, spacious and welcoming.
The apartments
“Vista mare” is a three-room apartment renovated in 2021 which is part of the villa where the rooms are located. “Sui migliori trail” is located in the hills, near Verezzi, in the Finale area, the capital of the outdoors.
Family atmosphere
In the sitting room, where the master is three antique cinema chairs and a designer lamp, we can have a chat and, if you wish, I can recommend itineraries and places to visit in the surrounding area. I am co-author of a magazine that talks about Liguria.. take advantage of me!
Environment protection
Our structure, being outside the classic circuits of conventional tourism, allows the enhancement of the geographical area in which it is located and helps to promote a new form of knowledge of the territory, more direct and attentive to environmental protection.

Borgio Verezzi, the surroundings, what you can do here
Borgio Verezzi is a small village which, despite being on the sea, has not been invaded by mass tourism but has preserved a typical character. My structure is located in the historic center, on a small hill overlooking the town, in a position that allows you to quickly reach both the beaches, the caves, the paths and the cliffs. We are close to other well-known towns, such as Finale Ligure, the outdoor capital, Finalborgo, Pietra Ligure, Loano and Noli but at the same time we are able to offer you that tranquility which is difficult to find in the summer months.
Theater in the square
Unmissable in Verezzi, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, is the open-air theater which is set up in Piazza Sant’Agostino between the months of July and August and which every year attracts illustrious actors and pieces of international fame.
The “Valdemino” caves
Two minutes away from the structure, easily reachable on foot through the “alleyways” of the centre, there are the Valdemino caves, famous for the variety of scenarios inside them and which boast the name of the most colorful caves in Italy.
The trails
The main structure is located a few meters from the start of some trails such as: the Geological trail, the Natura trail, the Ramate trail and the Ciappin trail. In just under half an hour it is possible to reach the ancient Saracen village of Verezzi, the quarries and the numerous “arms”, caves that were once inhabited. For those who love walking with a view of the sea, I suggest downloading the .gpx routes that we have cataloged on the Due Zaini e Un Camallo website, the trekking magazine of which I am co-author!
The cliffs
On the Verezzi hill we find the Cento Corde cliff and the Orera cliffs. As a climber I know how to reach them and of course I know some of the routes. While the cliff of the Cento Corde overlooks the sea, protected from the north wind, facing south-east, the cliffs of Orera overlook Finalborgo and are surrounded by woods. Breathtaking views guaranteed for both!
